Two Imperial Logistics Operating Companies, TFD Network Africa and The Cold Chain received the Golden Arrow and Silver Arrow Awards respectively. Both companies were rated "1st overall outstanding performance” in the national survey on FMCG Supply Chain Management Companies."

 

PMR.africa recognises leaders in the South African FMCG Supply Chain industry for outstanding business processes, commitment to customers, innovative solutions and fulfilment of service level agreements. TFD Network Africa competed in the General Supply Chain Management category, while The Cold Chain took part in the Chilled and Frozen Products category section.

Forecast & Replenishment Planner Johannesburg R29 - 33 000 Capture customer demand and translate that into operational plans to ensure excellent service levels and optimized costs. Adopt best planning practice and develop super user capabilities of the planning system. Conduct statistical and trend analysis in order to generate forecasts for internal and external cash requirements. The data would include ATM withdrawals, Branch Deposits and Withdrawals, Cash Centre orders and clearances. Ensure business achieves agreed service level to customers through accurate and advance planning techniques. An example would be a 98% availability of cash at any ATM. Event planning based on future events (2010 Worldcup, Festivals, etc.) and input (operational issues, rollout of new ATM's, branches, etc.) from various stakeholders (Retail, Business Bank).

 

Collaborate with commercial (Retail and Business Bank) and Cash Operations in order to establish optimum operational plans to ensure availability at cash sites. Establish regular review meetings to facilitate collaboration and alignment to ensure the required service levels to internal and external customers. Responsible for developing detailed forecasts for cash requirements by location requirement for the short, medium, and longer term. Analyze economic trends related to the Cash and Record business in order to provide for robust plans for the medium to longer term.. Continuous analysis and improvement of forecast and replenishment accuracy through reports and weekly reviews. The reports need to be discussed with the Planning Manager Cash and Payments.

Apply scenario planning and modelling techniques to identify optimum planning solutions for operations
Perform real-time planning and prioritization of ATM's. Assist with planning in Cash Centres, RASC's, and Branches. This will be achieved through review meetings, supplying of cash requirements on the cash centre, and application of planning methodology and modelling. Assist with development of "Management Information System" Little MI exist in the Cash and Payments space and information is required to show productivity, effeciency, trending at aggregate as well as detailed levels. Assist with implementation of Mmanagement information across Cash & Payments. Use MI to develop insights and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop a scoreboard to display MI in an easy to understand manner for the various businesss stream in Cash and Payments. Continuous improvement in terms of improving MI in terms of ease of access and understanding. Manage the MI process to ensure that information is available as agreed by business users.

Warehouse Manager, Cape Town R15 - 28 000
Our client is a leading brand company, with a strong focus on the cold chain. Due to expansion and consolidation of their warehouse space, they require an experienced warehouse manager to fill this newly created position. Apart from taking over the daily management of the warehouse from the existing manager (who is needing to play a more strategic role), you will play an active role in the implementation of the projects which include a new warehouse management system (WMS), consolidation of two warehouses, and additional space in the existing warehouse.

 

Skills Required : Required is a relevant qualification in warehousing (Ind Eng, Logistics etc)
Strong management experience, including direct experience in handling Unions, Industrial Relations, disciplinaries etc. Exposure to the Cold Chain is advantageous. Previous project experience in implementing any WMS system. Strong process and systems understanding with a dogged determination to ensure compliance. Hands-on manager willing to 'walk the distance' with your staff.
