The world-class standards represented by the entrants of this year’s Annual Logistics Achiever Awards demonstrates that the South African logistics and supply chain industry is operating on par with, and often better than best practices encountered overseas. This year’s awards ceremony, which will be attended by some 500 senior industry executives, is acknowledged as the highlight of the year for the supply chain industry and marks the preceding year’s achievements in world-class logistics and supply chain projects, with which all excellent SA businesses can identify and emulate.

The objectives of the Logistics Achiever Awards are:

  • To recognise professionalism and excellence in the effective application of strategic, tactical, and operational logistics and supply chain principles, concepts, and practices in Southern Africa.
  • To encourage all companies and organisations in Southern Africa to review, evaluate and upgrade their current logistics and supply chain practices and to create a greater awareness and understanding of the value of effective logistics and supply chain management.

Competing companies submit an official competition entry and all entries are adjudicated by a panel of judges who are nominated representatives of the various professional institutes, vocational societies and trade or industry associations involved in logistics and supply chain management in Southern Africa.

The 22nd Annual Logistics Achiever Awards will be presented at a gala banquet on Thursday 16 September at Emperors Palace, Kempton Park. The event has become an annual opportunity to network with colleagues and exchange views with the judges. Tables are still available, so if you’re interested in attending, contact Dianne Holton: info@logisticsnews.co.za
